PS5 officially showcased along with PS5 game trailers

Updated: Jul 23, 2020

In an online event yesterday, Sony finally revealed what the PlayStation 5 console will look like. The dual colour themed console is a bit of a deviation from PS4. The predominant colour is white which encloses a black block lined with blue LED strip. The design has a bit of a modern aesthetic, although how it fares is entirely upto the consumers. Sony also announced a slew of accessories like a wireless headset, a camera, a media remote and a charging station for the new wireless dualshock controllers.

Sony has not released any price details or release dates yet. But we can expect the price to be around 500 dollars and above. Aside from that, the event was notable for one more thing. There were 24 new game trailers showcased which will be available to play in PS5. Some of those games are remastered editions, some of them the latest iterations of popular franchises, and some are entirely new. Of the trailers we take a look at some which captured our imaginations. If you want to look at all of them, you can head over to theverge which has the trailers of all 24 games.

1. Grand Theft Auto V

GTA5 is remastered and will be available to PS5 when it launches. The title which captured the imaginations of millions of gamers and is one of the all time greatest games ever released, is about a small time crook who tried to make it big in the world of GTA. But that is not the greatest news in itself. But Sony has announced that PS5 users will get GTA5 for free. Rockstar has already remastered the GTA5 previously for PS4. But this edition looks breathtaking. You can check the trailer out here.

2. Spider-man: Miles Morales

Spiderman: miles Morales is launching on PS5 and the in-game footage shown by Sony is spectacular. The spiderman game footage was used to demonstrate the snappy performance of the PS5, so it is not a big leap to imagine a sequel coming. So here it is. You can check this awesome footage here.

3. Kena: bridge of spirits

Okay, this is a PS5 exclusive game which looks like an RPG based on the trailer. The landscape is luscious and gameplay feels awesome. So, keep an eye on this one.

4. Hitman 3

We got an announcement trailer for the next instalment of the very popular hitman franchise. The footage shown here looks impressive. This title is coming to PS5 as well as PS4.

5. NBA 2k21

It doesn't feel complete with a sports sim available. Sony showed of some development gameplay footage of the game in PS5. The player looks extremely realistic with copious amounts of sweat being shown to emphasise the point. The graphics look stunning. Let's see how it plays out.

6. Gran turismo 7

The next instalment in the GT series is here and it looks like it is going to give Forza horizon 4, the topdog in racing games, a run for its money. The footage available looks stunning. Check out this trailer here.

We are excited for these games. But you can also have a look at the other trailers fron the link provided above.
